GOOGLE DEMANDS 3 BILLION FROM AN ADVERTISING AGENCY
A subsidiary of the American Google in Russia has filed a lawsuit against the Moscow advertising agency MGCom. Why Google decided to sue is not yet clear – the court has not yet accepted the claim for production. However, the size of the requirements is known – 3 billion rubles. The defendant is a full-service digital agency that has been on the advertising services market for 16 years. MGCom provides services to large and medium-sized enterprises to solve marketing problems.

Earlier, Google began litigation with the companies OMD Novus (17 million rubles) and Price Express (24 million rubles).

Recall that Google was declared bankrupt in October 2023. The insolvency case was initiated at the request of the organization itself. At the same time, the monitoring was suspended due to a judicial error: in the operative part of the ruling, the court appointed one manager to the company, and another in the final document. Both filed complaints.

The appeal overturned the ruling of the first instance. Valery Talyarovsky from the SRO "Interregional Center of Experts and Professional Managers" was appointed as the manager. Google tried to remove him due to a conflict of interest, but failed to do so.

Roskomnadzor tried to get into the case, arguing that the debtor's bankruptcy affects the interests of the department and the interests of the tax authorities. The appeal rejected the complaint.

Surveillance was introduced in November 2022. At the very first meeting, the debtor's creditors decided to apply to the court with a petition for the introduction of bankruptcy proceedings. More than a thousand organizations have submitted claims to Google for a total amount of more than 20 billion rubles. The main claim of creditors is Google's violation of advertising obligations.
