FIRST EVER LAWSUIT FILED IN COMIC BOOK FORM WILL BE HEARD BY AMERICAN COURT
The owner of a comic book store from Houston decided to apply to court in an unusual way with a claim against the hotel next door. Dissatisfied with the behavior of the guests, the store’s owner T.J. Johnson filed a lawsuit in which the situation with causing damage to his store was described in comics.

According to the entrepreneur's lawyer, this is the first ever lawsuit filed in the form of a comic book.

According to the applicant, the Crown Plaza hotel, to which the claim is addressed, caused damage to the property of the store by the actions of its guests. T.J. Johnson's position is based on the fact that hotel guests have repeatedly allowed themselves illegal behavior in the form of throwing cigarette butts, cutlery and even fire extinguishers from the windows onto the roof of the hotel.

These actions led to the violation of the integrity of the store's roof and damage to goods during the rain, some of which cost thousands of dollars.

All the misadventures of the store were depicted by four hired artists in thirteen pages of comics. The applicant is seeking $ 250,000 of monetary compensation, as well as a requirement to close the hotel for a year.

The position of the plaintiff boils down to the negligent behavior of the defendant, who did not take measures to suppress the behavior of guests and committed multiple violations. The hotel, in turn, has already indicated that, in its opinion, unlawful acts were committed by unknown persons, for whose actions the Crown Plaza hotel is not responsible.
