EX-CO-OWNER PLANS BANKRUPTCY OF MURMANSK FISHING COMPANY
The Arctic Management company announced its plans to apply to arbitration with a claim for insolvency of the fishing company "Option". Information about this was posted on Fedresource. Experts attribute this decision to a corporate conflict and multiple lawsuits.

In February 2023, the Murmansk arbitration satisfied the claim of Arctic Management against the defendant (case no. A42-8293/2022). According to Interfax, the fishing company was ordered to pay more than 63 million rubles. The basis was a real estate transaction that was previously declared invalid. The amount of the obligation included the cost of the agreement (60.039 million) and interest for the use of other people's funds (more than 3.185 million). The verdict of the Arbitration Court of the Murmansk Region subsequently stood in the Arbitration Court (the 13th Arbitration Court of Appeal).

The defendant tried to object, referring to the offset of counterclaims. But the court found such an argument unfounded, referring to another case (No. A42-3884/2021), in which an intra-corporate settlement involving the Fishing company "Option" and the company "Arctic Management" (the successor of "ArktikTransLogistik") was considered.

On July 27, 2023, the arbitration court issued another decision, collecting more than 70 million rubles from the Fishing Company. In the court decision published on August 10 in the case (No. A42-12078/2022), it is reported that 60 million was the remainder of the price of the vessel sold under the contract dated October 1, 2019. More than 10 million were accrued over several years of interest.

The owner and head of Arctic Management is Mikhail Minasyan, who was declared bankrupt by the Moscow Arbitration Court in March 2023 (case no. A40-246865/2022). In the third stage of the register of creditors' claims, an obligation in the amount of 67.941 million was declared to the Fishing company "Option".

In the past, Minasyan ran a Fishing company, and his family (himself, his brother and their mother) owned 43% of the shares of the fishing company. The organization, established in the early 1990s, was engaged in fishing for crab and bottom fish species in the Berentsev and Norwegian Seas. At the same time, almost two dozen lawsuits are placed in the court file, in which the Arctic Management company and the Fishing company Variant participate.

In 2020, the fishing company was mentioned in the media in connection with a criminal case initiated upon the death of the Onega vessel in the Barents Sea. After the trawler capsized due to icing, only two fishermen managed to escape. It was reported that the vessel belonged to the Fishing company "Option" and produced fish for the "Kalinin Slave Farm".
