CRIMINAL CASE WAS INITIATED IN MOSCOW OVER FAKE VACCINATION CERTIFICATES ON THE STATE SERVICES PORTAL
The Moscow prosecutor's office announced the initiation of a criminal case due to the appearance of fake vaccination certificates on the State Services portal. The buyer purchased fake documents to receive a QR code.

After the information about fake certificates on the State Services appeared, the Basmanny Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office intervened in the case. During the audit, it turned out that the fake certificates were purchased from June 25 to July 7 to receive QR codes that allows you to visit restaurants.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 5 of Art. 327 - the use of a knowingly forged document.

The prosecutor's office noted that despite a sufficient amount of evidence, the case was not opened immediately. The maximum punishment for an offender under the article is six months in prison.

The prosecutor's office keeps the case under personal control. In early July, Moscow law enforcement agencies have already detained a citizen who was involved in the production and sale of fake vaccination certificates. It is also known that the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications has deleted more than 150 Internet pages selling fake certificates.
