Crimean shipbuilding plant ‘Sea’ is driven to bankruptcy by the company from Ural
The claim for insolvency of the ‘Sea’ shipbuilding plant, located in Feodosia was filed with the  arbitration of the Crimea on September 10, 2021. The court has not yet had time to accept it for proceedings, and the size of the financial requirements is unknown. The initiator of the bankruptcy of the oldest shipbuilding organization in the region was the Ural company Metallinvest.

However, there are other claims among the files of the arbitration court that the company from Sverdlovsk had previously filed against the ‘Sea’. In particular, a year before, the Crimean arbitration court has already considered the firm's application for the collection of 8,576,241.75 rubles. It considered the case of the debt under the contract for the supply of rolled aluminum. Judge Evdokimova fully satisfied the claim of Metallinvest.

In the summer of 2021, the company from Sverdlovsk applied to the Arbitration Court of Crimea again (case No. À83-12632 / 2021). This time, the demand for shipbuilders from Feodosia was associated with an attempt to collect a penalty in the amount of more than 1.257 million rubles. The next hearing on this case is scheduled for October 4.
The ‘Sea’ shipbuilding company was founded in 1938.
Earlier, Rusbankrot has already written about the litigation of the Crimean shipbuilders with the ‘Pella’ company from St. Petersburg. In 2016, after the reunification of the Crimea with the Russian Federation, Pella received the Feodosia enterprise for use, but later in 2018, the plant was transferred to Rostec.

Then the authorities decided to transfer the ‘Sea’ to the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), since it was not easy to develop the plant under the sanctions. It is known that a shipbuilding enterprise in Crimea is unique in its specialization in the construction of high-speed boats and hydrofoils. Since July 2021, Alexander Kazarosyan has been the head of the company.
