CREDITORS DEMANDED THAT THE LUGA MEAT PROCESSING PLANT BE DECLARED BANKRUPT
The Luga Meat Processing Plant, which is under supervision, may be declared insolvent in the near future. The creditors of the company insist on this, having made the appropriate decision at the last meeting. The interim manager of the company, Tatiana Pedchenko, has already sent an application to the St. Petersburg arbitration court on the need to transfer the company to the stage of bankruptcy proceedings.

The main creditor of the meat processing plant is the Rosselkhoznadzor. It was the credit institution that won a 1.5 billion lawsuit against the company in 2021 that initiated the bankruptcy process of the organization in court. The Combine acted as a guarantor for several dozen loan obligations that were not fulfilled. As a result, surveillance has been introduced at the enterprise since April 2023, and now the company may be declared insolvent.

The company has been operating in the Leningrad region for more than a quarter of a century. The plant produced offal, meat products (half carcasses, cuts). Until 2009, the company was a structure of the holding company "Parnas-M", owned by entrepreneur Sergey Udachin.

The group of companies also included a feed mill located nearby. However, both companies then became the property of the Rosselkhoznadzor, which lent Udachin's business. The production was stopped, and the production buildings were transferred to tenants. "Luga feed Mill" received the status of bankrupt. Now the same fate may befall the meat processing plant.

In October 2022, Transagro, co-owned by Viktor Feller, became the owner of the meat processing enterprise. The new owners announced plans to establish the production of beef and lamb, but the project was frozen.

It was not possible to purchase the production assets of the feed mill from Transagro. The company acquired the Priozerny pig complex, which is a structure of the Mitprom group of companies. The transaction price was 192 million. The new owner planned to restart the plant, but has not yet started. The company's losses last year exceeded 22.3 million.
