CO-FOUNDER OF APPLE FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINST YOUTUBE

Steve Wozniak applied to the court of California, accusing Youtube of ignoring the fraudulent scheme. Wozniak's photos and videos are being used for the bitcoin giveaway scams.

The scammers, using the image of the co-founder of Apple, tried to convince the users that he was giving away cryptocurrency for free. Supposedly, everyone, who sends the bitcoins, will get the double amount back. Naturally, after transferring money, users receive nothing in return, and the transactions themselves are irreversible.

Steve Wozniak demanded that Youtube remove these videos, but the video hosting service ignored him.

Now Wozniak accuses the platform of promoting a fraudulent scheme and making a profit of it. It is interesting that Steve Wozniak is not the only person whose image is used by scammers - there are similar videos with Elon Musk, and with Bill Gates, and with other celebrities of the high-tech world.

The court application contents a deletion of video as a claim, and the plaintiff hopes for compensation and fines for Youtube as well.
