CINEMA FUND DEMANDS 65 MILLION RUBLES FROM THE CREATORS OF COMA FILM
Last week, the Cinema Fund filed a claim against the Bolshoye Kino Cinema Company and producer Ghevond Andreasyan. The claims are related to funds received by the defendants for the filming of the Coma film, which was released over a year ago.

Based on Andreasyan's comments, which he gave to Izvestia, in the course of the proceedings the parties intend to sign an amicable agreement.

The producer confirmed the essence of the claims, but noted that the dialogue had been going on for a long time, and the defendants would pay the amount claimed for recovery.

The film was shot in the genre of a fantastic action movie and was shown in 16 countries around the world, including Brazil and Japan. According to Kinopoisk, with a budget of 305 million rubles, the total collection amounted to only $ 2.4 million.

The website of the Cinema Fund published information that in 2017, the controversial film was subsidized both from the federal budget (funds were allocated free of charge) and from the fund's own funds (on terms of one hundred percent repayment).

By these means, the foundation supports various film projects. At the same time, in each specific case, the amount of the allocated sum is determined, as well as the conditions for its return, if there is such an agreement.

At the same time, in a situation where the party that received the money does not return the agreed amount on time, the fund has the right to demand it in court, which was done in the case of the "Coma" film.

At the moment, the claim has not been accepted for proceedings and is awaiting a procedural decision of the judge.
