CHINA HAS RESPONDED TO THE LAWSUIT OF THE USA BECAUSE OF THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS
The lawsuit, accusing the Chinese government of concealing the information about the spread of coronavirus, was initiated by the Attorney General of the US state of Missouri. According to the plaintiff, this led to the enormous economic losses and deaths in the territory, controlled by him.
A Chinese spokesperson has already commented on the situation, calling it a malicious mockery at the legal proceedings. According to the diplomat, the People's Republic of China informed the WHO and other countries, including the United States, about the epidemiological situation as openly and timely as possible.
In addition, according to the representative of China, the lawsuit does not help in the fight against a pandemic in any way and contradicts the principles of international cooperation - the United States should reject the litigation.
The application was filed in the federal court of the Eastern District of Missouri, and its further fate is not known yet.
We should recall that earlier, the representatives of the United States filed two more lawsuits against China, accusing the country of spreading the coronavirus: the first one featured the amount of several billion, and the second one the amount of 20 trillion dollars.
