Expobank expressed its intention to file a bankruptcy petition against Istok + LLC. The alleged debtor is located in Kursk and is engaged in the production of batteries for passenger cars.

The amount of the debt to the bank and the grounds for its collection have not been disclosed yet.

Istok LLC+ is a part of the Kursk Accumulator Plant Group of Companies (KAP Group of Companies) and operates at the site of the oldest enterprise in the country - Accumulator company. At the same time, the company, in comparison with other companies of the KAP Group of Companies, brings the most of revenue. Last year, its volume exceeded 5 billion rubles.

According to Kommersant Chernozemye, last year Expobank became the main financial partner of Istok +. Transactions on the company's accounts through this bank in 2020 alone exceeded 2 billion rubles.

Apparently, the out-of-court attempts to resolve the dispute did not have results, and the creditor decided on the extreme measures.

However, Expobank is not the only institution trying to collect debts from Istok + LLC. During last month, the file of arbitration cases was updated with three claims from the tax inspectorate, MUE Kurskvodokanal and Quadra PJSC. The total amount of claims exceeded 2 million rubles.

Such activity of creditors may also be associated with a criminal case of non-payment by the company of 560 million rubles in taxes. The former CEO of the company has already been accused of tax evasion and faces up to six years in prison.
