An entrepreneur from Vladivostok intends to sue fast food "Delicious and period"
The owner of the Vladivostok fast food chain Sergey Ponkratov announced his intention to sue the renamed McDonald's. According to the businessman, the new name "Tasty and Dot" represents a "raider seizure" that occurred in relation to his Food and Dot network. Ponkratov fears that the business he owns will be considered a parody of the Russian McDuck, although it originated and developed long before the story with the change of the name of the well-known American network.
Indicating his position, the entrepreneur explained that he wanted to go to court not because of the desire to receive a large sum, but because of the restoration of justice.
The name of the fast food chain "Tasty and Dot" instead of McDonald's may interfere with the scaling and development of his own business.
At the moment, the number of outlets "Food and point" reaches two dozen. The entrepreneur's goal is to ensure that when a decision is made to leave the region, his company is perceived as independent, and not as a tracing paper on "Delicious and period".
According to Ponkratov, any sane person is aware of the similarity between the two names. His desire is for the recently renamed McDonald's chain to change its name again, removing the "period" from it, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
