AMAZON AND GOPRO FILED JOINT LAWSUITS AGAINST CHINESE COUNTERFEIT SELLERS
The defendants in the case are seven Chinese citizens, as well as several organizations distributing products that are difficult to distinguish from a Handler camera grip and a GoPro tripod.

What is more, the counterfeit products have the GoPro logo on them. It is noted that many buyers were disappointed, having received fake items instead of real GoPro products - the goods were sold under the guise of the original ones. Amazon customers, who ordered a fake on the platform, reported poor quality and even rust on the hardware.
Fake GoPro products are difficult to distinguish from the original ones.
The differences are insignificant - slightly less weight, smaller button size, rougher surface. In the absence of the original model on hand, it is problematic to notice these differences. For a deeper analysis, the company sent samples of the counterfeit to GoPro.

Amazon noted that it has already blocked the profiles of counterfeit sellers. A similar criminal case has been opened against the same sellers in China.

Last year, Amazon created a dedicated department to fight counterfeit products on the platform. This is the first lawsuit that the company has filed on the basis of the formed branch, but Amazon has previously sued unscrupulous sellers. Customers note that there is a lot of counterfeit in the marketplace, but Amazon is trying to eliminate it.
