AKTIVISTS OF KRASNOYARSK WILL FILE A LAWSUIT OVER THE “BLACK SKY” REGIME

Activists of Nebo.live organization intend to apply to the court, and the authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will be the defendants. The reason is the constant "black sky" regime, due to which a "haze fog" might be regularly seen over the city.

The activists plan to collect complaints for a class action lawsuit - the organization calls on all residents of Krasnoyarsk, who believe that they have had diseases due to the dirty air, to contact them.

The "black sky" regime in Krasnoyarsk was announced 4 times In January 2021.

Public figures note that the "black sky" regime was even on New Year's. At the same time, residents of Krasnoyarsk regularly complain of headaches, poor health, sore throat, haze in the air and an unpleasant odor. Activists said they no longer believed official reports that air pollution did not affect their health in any way. They also added that they were ready to apply to the European Court.

We should note that Krasnoyarsk is considered the dirtiest city in Russia and the fifth most polluted city in the world. Only Pakistani Lahore, Indian Delhi and Kolkata, and Bangladeshi Dhaka are ahead of it.
