In St. Petersburg, a man was detained on suspicion of murder - the reason for the alleged crime was the request of the murdered man to put on a mask in the bus.

The detainee was a 40-year-old resident of the Orenburg region. On 17 November, a 53-year-old passenger came to a couple sitting without masks, according to the video from a camera on the bus. According to the gestures of the man, he had asked to put on masks, but the detainee began to react aggressively to the request and jumped up from his seat - his companion was trying to restrain him.

The camera shows that at some point a masked man strikes his opponent, after which the latter runs after him away from the bus.

Later, the passenger who asked to put on the mask was found dead - he was stabbed in the back.

It is known that the deceased lived in the Leningrad region and worked as the deputy director of the scientific center. The murder suspect was previously convicted of grievous bodily harm and drugs.

The detainee was charged under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Murder", at the moment the decision on his arrest is being made. It is also worth noting that wearing masks in public transport of St. Petersburg is obligatory for travel.
