A resident of Sevastopol was punished for attacking the driver of car with "Z" symbol on it
In Sevastopol, the court issued a verdict in the case of a 36-year-old resident who started a fight in a grocery store. The reason was the Chrysler Voyager car with the letter “Z” sticker on it. Having found the owner of the car, the man slapped the pensioner in the face, pushed him away and fled the scene.
According to the regional press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the citizen was sentenced to compulsory labor for 200 hours. His actions were qualified under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (bodily blows), and the court considered political hatred and enmity as the main motive.
The fight itself took place on March 8. The recording of the event was caught on a video camera installed in the store. As a result, local law enforcement agencies had to carry out a joint operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB to search for the offender - he was found in his house, which was searched.
Subsequently, the perpetrator confessed to the crime. It is reported that he repented and transferred 140 thousand rubles to the victim as compensation for non-pecuniary damage. The press service did not specify in its message, what happened to the car and the letter “Z” on it.
According to the media reports, such a conflict in Sevastopol was not the only one in the past few months.
A similar incident occurred on April 27, when a young man approached the owner of a vehicle with a Z-symbol on it, demanding that the sticker be removed. After the driver refused to do so, the citizen hit the owner of the jeep and fled.
His capture was also carried out by the operational officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB. It turned out that the attacker was a resident of the Moscow region. The case initiated against him is still qualified under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (paragraph “a”, part 1) as hooliganism. How this story will end for the detained citizen is not yet clear, since the court has not yet issued a verdict on the case.
