A claim for the insolvency of an innovative enterprise (case no. A40-15807/2023) has been submitted to the metropolitan arbitration. Optogard Nanotech was established as part of the state program for innovative development related to the activities of two research institutes of the SB RAS (laser physics and inorganic chemistry).

Experts associate the company's activities with the criminal prosecution of the head of the Institute of Laser Physics SB RAS. Alexey Taichenachev, who signed a contract with the firm, is accused of abuse. The lawsuit against the company was filed by JSC "Hyde".

On January 23, the court issued a verdict on the application of this organization to recover 487.6 thousand rubles from Optograd Nanotech. The case considered a loan agreement concluded between the companies in October 2021. "Hyde" provided funds for 460 thousand rubles, which were never returned. Case (no. A40-227935/22-25-1747 ) was considered by the arbitration court in a simplified manner.

The company received about 110 million from the PG "Garant". The company specialized in the development of a high-tech installation that allows superhard coatings to be applied outside of vacuum, and alloys and metals to be strengthened.

The Institute of Laser Physics was a partner of the company. The firm has signed a contract with a scientific organization to conduct R&D worth 6.2 million. In the process, the institute received over 4.6 million rubles.

As Kommersant reported, 80-year-old academician Sergey Bagaev, who was the scientific director of the Research Institute, was a suspect in the criminal case. The investigation decided that it was with his submission that Alexey Taichenachev caused damage of 2 million in October 2017 by signing a contract with Optograd-Nanotech. At the same time, all activities were carried out by employees of the Research Institute, while part of the financial resources under the contract was received by the scientific and technical association headed by Bagaev.

A criminal case against a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Taichenachev was initiated under Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in the fall of 2021. He has been the head of the Institute since 2016. Before that, the organization was headed by Bagaev.
