Last week, a civil lawsuit containing a demand on a prohibition on the trade secrets disclosure was filed in the California State Court.
The plaintiff is the well-known manufacturer of cosmetic products Seed Beauty, whose fears are associated with possible actions of Kim Kardashian.
The fact is that according to preliminary data, Kim, like her sister Kylie Jenner, previously intended to sell 51% of the shares of her company KKW Beauty to another cosmetic magnate Coty.
Coty is a direct competitor to Seed Beauty, and Seed Beauty, in turn, has provided comprehensive assistance and support for the development of the KKW Beauty brand owned by Kim Kardashian for many years.
Thus, in case of selling a controlling stake in the Kardashian’s company to the Seed Beauty’s rival, the company does not have confidence that its business information will not be disclosed to the new owner and thus will not cause permanent damage to it.
The plaintiff also does not exclude the possibility of filing a lawsuit against Kim's sister, Kylie Jenner, who in a similar partnership with Seed Beauty has already sold a majority stake in her company to Coty. Kardashian, like her sister Jenner, refused to comment on the current case.
