A LAWSUIT HAS BEEN FILED AGAINTS PUTIN BECAUSE OF THE AMENDEMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
The Supreme Court of Russia has received a lawsuit, the defendant of which is Vladimir Putin. The statement is trying to challenge the presidential decree on the vote on the constitutional amendments on 1 July.
The plaintiff is Gennady Ivanovich Rudyakov; the proceedings in the case have not been initiated yet. We should note that this is not the first case of this kind - a week before Viktor Meshcherin has filed a similar lawsuit, but the court refused to accept the application.
It is also known that the lawsuit against Putin and his decree on amendments to the Constitution was filed by the Moscow City Duma deputy Yevgeny Stupin, he posted this information on his Facebook page. Stupin noted that the political scientist Valery Solovey, lawyer Sergey Bocharov and his colleague Oleg Sheremetyev joined him in the lawsuit. The deputy stated that holding a vote in the situation where hundreds of Russians die from an undefeated virus every day is a crime.
“Cancellation of the Putin’s decree will save many lives,” summed up Yevgeny Stupin.
We should recall that the vote on amendments to the Constitution has been scheduled for 1 July, but in fact (taking into account electronic voting) it will last for six days - from 25 June to 1 July.
