£900 MILLION FOR "SECRET" ALGORITHM: AMAZON FACES CLASS ACTION
The initiator of the lawsuit was the law firm Hausfeld.

The American Amazon was accused of abusing a special "secret" algorithm, with which the company took a dominant place in the online market. This is reported by Bloomberg.

According to the Hausfeld law firm, which is the plaintiff, Amazon hid profitable offers from customers on the platforms. As a result, buyers were forced to overpay for goods. As the applicant notes, this became possible thanks to a "secret" mechanism that encourages the use of the Buy Box function.

The lawsuit against the American company will be filed with the Competition Appeal Court in London by the end of October. The damage could amount to up to £900 million ($1 billion).
