YEKATERINBURG CONTRACTOR ENERGOMOST IS ON THE VERGE OF BANKRUPTCY
The Sverdlovsk Arbitration Court (AS SO) initiated proceedings against ECC Energomost. The first step was the introduction of a surveillance procedure, as reported in the federal register. At this stage, experts will study in detail how deplorable the financial situation of the company is and what is the real size of its obligations.

The company's debts have already begun to be entered into the register of creditors' claims. Denis Kucherov, the interim manager, was assigned this job. The final data will allow us to draw a conclusion about the depth of the crisis and the contractor's chances of restoring solvency.

It is important to note that Energomost has been operating on the market since 2008 and has managed to establish itself as a prominent structure in energy construction. The company was engaged in laying power lines and fulfilled orders for the industry. However, the current difficulties have called into question the continued existence of this player.

The analysis of the reports shows a sharp deterioration in key indicators. In 2024, revenue decreased by almost 25%, stopping at around 23.3 billion. The net profit situation is even more dramatic: it collapsed from 1.9 billion to 298 million. At the same time, the debt burden grew – accounts payable exceeded 22.7 billion. At the same time, accounts receivable exceeded 21 billion, which indicates the frozen money of customers and the simultaneous growth of their own debts.

This situation is typical for the contracting business. Organizations directly depend on the rhythm of revenue from contracts. The slightest delay in payment turns into a cash gap, and spending on crews, special equipment and building materials does not disappear anywhere.

The situation is aggravated by the rise in the cost of logistics and raw materials, especially if the prices in the contracts remain fixed. As a result, the company is forced to take out loans, which, with falling turnover, rapidly leads to a critical level of debt. What happens next will be decided based on the results of the observation. There is a chance for business recovery. If a positive scenario does not happen, the court will proceed to bankruptcy proceedings, which almost always ends with the liquidation of the legal entity.

The situation with Energomost is a vivid marker of the systemic problems of the construction and energy industry in the region. Even large contractors with multibillion-dollar turnovers are vulnerable to rising costs and unstable contract settlements.
