VTB WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE CHANGE OF OWNERS IN THE "DAIRY CULTURE"

Credit institution appealed to arbitration, demanding the restoration of the rights of Evgeny Chernyshev as a beneficiary of the parent company of the group "Dairy Culture" ("MK"). VTB was not satisfied that he transferred 99% of assets to other persons. Experts believe that the proceedings initiated in July 2023 are aimed at ensuring that the bank can control the activities of the holding (case no. A56-71418/2023).

The company "MK", which owns the brand of the same name, is located in the Leningrad region. According to official data, its production facilities allow for the daily processing of 50 tons of raw materials. Last year brought the company 1 billion rubles in revenue and 2.2 million in net profit, according to SPARK-Interfax.

The main beneficiary of the company until the end of 2021 was Evgeny Chernyshev. He is known as a co-owner of Artis-Agro Export. At the moment, the organization is going through a bankruptcy process.

In 2022, the businessman turned out to be a person involved in the investigation of a major theft. He was put on the international wanted list. The investigation believes that the criminal group created by him stole 42.2 million rubles from the treasury by illegally obtaining VAT refunds.

A number of transactions, which VTB is now contesting, led to the fact that the main owner of MK became a Cypriot offshore company, which received 97.03%. Among the owners are Stanislav Chernyshev and Marina Vergun. They own 1.98% and 0.99%, respectively.

In July, the insolvency process of Evgeny Chernyshev was initiated by the bank "Saint Petersburg". According to Kommersant, the entrepreneur owed him $378 million.

VTB reports on the businessman's debt of 1.4 billion rubles and $ 16.1 million. The basis was a guarantee on a credit transaction between the bank and Artis-Agro Export. Given this, the bank's attempt to get close to the assets of MK owned by Chernyshev is quite understandable.
