UNEMPLOYED PARENTS WILL RECEIVE A SUPPLEMENTARY BENEFIT IN THE AMOUNT OF 3000 RUBBLES IN SEPTEMBER

The Government of Russia approved an additional measure of state support - unemployed parents will receive a September supplement to the benefit in the amount of 3,000 rubles. The decree has already been published on the official website.

2.8 million Russians who are unemployed and have children under 18 years of age can count on the payments. For the implementation of the measure, 8.5 billion rubles were allocated from the budget of the Russian Federation.

It is worth noting that allowances for unemployed parents have been paid since April 2020 - they were introduced against the backdrop of a pandemic and in connection with the situation on the labor market. A little later, the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin extended the measures until the end of the summer, but now the government has made a decision on the payments in September as well.

We should recall that in March, the minimum unemployment benefit was raised to 12,130 rubles.

Thus, the amount of payments has been equated to the minimum wage. Previously, the allowance was about 8,000 rubles.
