THE SUPREME COURT SIDED WITH THE BONDHOLDERS OF ROSSETI
The Supreme Court refused Rosseti to consider the company's complaint against the decisions of lower instances in favor of one of the bondholders, the Ronin Trust Management Company.
According to Vedomosti, the bondholder demanded to recover 194.3 million rubles from the company, which the plaintiff invested in Rosset bonds under a trust management agreement.
Egor Razbitsky, Legal Adviser to the CEO of the Ronin Trust Management Company, stressed that the Supreme Court once again noted the inviolability of guarantees of creditors' rights of reorganized companies. This will make it possible to introduce legal certainty into the process of circulation and repayment of bonds, which, in turn, will improve the investment climate.
Currently, a number of similar lawsuits against the energy company are being considered in Russian courts. The total amount of claims is 20 billion rubles.
