THE CO-OWNER OF THE RUBLEV BANK REFUSED TO BE DECLARED BANKRUPT
The appeal decided to leave unchanged the ruling of the court of first instance on the dismissal of Grigory Gurevich's bankruptcy application filed by the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) (case no. A40-140438/2023).

Earlier, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow District confirmed the subsidiary liability of Gurevich and his wife, shareholder Vera Artyakova (case No. A 40-153804/2018). Currently, the total amount of Rublev's debts is about 7.8 billion rubles. As interim measures, the court seized the property of Gurevich and Artyakova for 15.6 billion rubles in total.

Gurevich's bankruptcy application was filed by the Deposit Insurance Agency in October. The court of first instance, refusing to satisfy the claims, pointed out that in the framework of the Rublev bankruptcy case, the court has not yet determined the amount of subsidiary liability of the co-owner of the credit institution. Accordingly, at the moment, Gurevich has no obligations to pay money.

The Deposit Insurance Agency petitioned for the suspension of bankruptcy proceedings, but the first instance did not satisfy the petition, leaving the application without consideration, which the appeal agreed with.
