THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT SAVED THE "CAVIAR KING" OF KAMCHATKA FROM BANKRUPTCY
Entrepreneur Alexander Borisik avoided bankruptcy, which threatened him from the tax authorities. In the process of checking the business by the structures of the Federal Tax Service, it turned out that the debt of the "caviar king" to the budget of the Russian Federation amounted to about 1.6 billion rubles. However, the businessman was offered to conclude a settlement agreement and pay all the money voluntarily.

For the first time, the entrepreneur, who was in no hurry to get on the pages of glossy magazines, was noticed by Forbes journalists. The reason for the increased attention of the press was the inspections of the capital's stores "Red Caviar" by the Federal Tax Service and the FSB.

The owners were suspected of trying to evade taxes and sell counterfeit goods. As a result, Borisik was forced to give an extensive interview, from which readers learned about the biography of the Sakhalin fish processor and seller of Far Eastern caviar.

The capital's Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service No. 29 applied to the court with an application for the entrepreneur's insolvency in early December 2022 (case No. A40-267232/2022). The hearing in the case, scheduled for February, has been postponed. And in April, the arbitration court approved the settlement agreement after a break in the meeting.

It follows from the court document that Borisik's total debt to the Federal Tax Service amounted to more than 1.59 billion rubles. It includes 1 billion arrears, 510 million penalties and 75 million fines. The entrepreneur promised to repay the entire debt in monthly payments within three years.

As the telegram channel "Rybfront" notes, third parties acted in the settlement agreement on the rights of pledgers. The obligations of the "caviar king" to the tax authorities will be secured by a pledge of real estate, including land plots and industrial (non-residential) premises of individual entrepreneurs Olga Borisik, Andrey Mitrofanov and Nikolai Kuibid. It was the latter who was previously the seller in the deal with Borisik on the alienation of the Petropavlovsk shipyard for 50 million rubles. The contract itself has since been overgrown with several criminal trials.
