THE SCHEDULE OF DAILY WORKING HOURS MIGHT BE CHANGED IN MOSCOW
The day before, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov has made a number of statements. According to the official, the change of the daily working hours start should help ensure social distance in public transport. According to him, the companies of Canada and Germany have resorted to such measures - such a good practice can also be applied in Moscow.
The innovation is proposed to be introduced to for the employers, for whom it is comfortable to set the start of the working day in the interval from 6 am to 12 am. Thus, the period of maximum passenger traffic density during peak hours should be significantly reduced.
To stimulate the transition to the non-standard working time, it is planned to reduce the ticket fare on one of the subway lines during the off-peak hours. The official does not exclude that such a measure can be introduced for other lines as well.
As for the other means of transport, new parking spaces will be created for cars and bicycles, a number of updated convenient routes will be introduced for the ground transport, and the cost of the city bike rental will be reduced by 30%.
Despite all the difficulties of this year, 16 new metro and suburban railway stations should be launched in Moscow.
According to Liksutov, it is important to understand how the citizens could be encouraged to use bicycles, scooters and hiking routes more frequently. He noted the importance of creating a convenient and safe infrastructure.
