THE SALE OF ALCOHOL MIGHT BE PROHIBITED ON RUSSIAN TRAINS
The head of the "Sober Russia" organization, Sultan Khamzaev, proposed an initiative, according to which the sale of alcohol should be prohibited on trains. The text of the proposal has already been sent to the Minister of Transport.
For the moment, there is a ban on drinking alcohol on trains. However, it is still possible to buy alcohol in the restaurant cars, though no stronger 16.5 %. Khamzaev believes that drunken fights occur on trains because of this - for comfortable travel, it is necessary to completely remove alcohol from them.
In addition, the representative of "Sober Russia" called for tightening the control over the passengers who bring alcohol with them.
Those who got drunk on trains more than twice a year should be deprived of the right to travel for two years, stated Khamzaev.
We should note that previously, Khamzaev has spoken in favor of raising the age of selling alcohol to 21 years old - he is confident that such a measure will help to reduce a crime among young people and improve demography.
