The procedure for the departure of minors abroad has changed in Russia
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia approved a new regulation governing the procedure for the departure of underage children abroad.  The document establishes the specifics of filing an application in which the parent expresses his disagreement with the child's departure abroad in whole or to certain countries, indicating specific periods of time.

In contrast to the previous procedure, the new regulation provides for the possibility of a parent submitting an application, which will contain a ban on the child's departure at a certain period and to certain countries.

Earlier, the document contained information about the parent's consent.

What is more, now the parent, who does not agree with the departure of the child, can separately indicate the period during which his will should be carried out. This can be either the child's reaching the age of majority, or a certain period of time. At the same time, the ban may concern certain countries and departure from the territory of Russia as a whole. Previously, the regulations also provided for the possibility of specifying periods and certain countries, but at the same time, it was about consent to leave.

In addition, there is now an opportunity to revoke a previously filed application, before that such a right was not provided. In order to cancel the parent's will, recorded in the application, he (she) must contact the territorial office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or another authority where the application was submitted.
