THE NUMBER OF BANKRUPTCIES OF LEGAL ENTITIES IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IS DECREASING, AND THE NUMBER OF THOSE INVOLVED IN SUBSIDIZATION IS GROWING
The number of corporate bankruptcies in Russia in the 10 months (January-October) of 2025 decreased by 25.8% compared to the same period last year. The figures were announced at the annual forum of Fedresurs and Interfax - "Bankruptcies. A new reality."

Despite the fact that the number of bankruptcies of legal entities has decreased and amounted to 5,333 thousand in 10 months of 2025, the level of satisfaction of creditors' claims has continued to grow for several years. It reached 10.9%, while in 2021 this figure was still only 3.5%.

The number of lawsuits filed to hold citizens vicariously liable is also decreasing. So, 4,215 thousand applications were submitted in January-October, which is 21.7% less than a year earlier. At the same time, the number of Russians involved in the subsidy increased by 3.6%. Thus, the total amount of all those brought to subsidiary responsibility amounted to 388.8 billion rubles, which is 19.1% more than in the same period of 2024.

As for the bankruptcies of citizens, in January-October of this year, 463.28 thousand Russians were declared insolvent through the court. 54.45 thousand people were granted bankruptcy status out of court through the IFC. At the same time, courts have become more likely to approve restructuring plans for debtors. A significant increase in such solutions began in 2025.
