THE MAYOR OF MOSCOW INTRODUCED NEW RESTRICTIONS DUE TO THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS
With the beginning of autumn, the statistics on the incidence of COVID-19 began to disappointingly approach the rates of spring, when the number of infected people in the country was 10-11 thousand people per day.
A significant increase in cases, including hospitalizations, was also noted in Moscow, in connection with which the authorities decided to introduce new restrictive measures.
According to the decree of the Mayor of the capital, the new rules will come into effect in October to reduce the number of cases of coronavirus.
In particular, Moscow employers were obliged to transfer at least 30% of the staff to remote work, as well as to provide the Moscow Government with information on a weekly basis both about employees working in offices and those transferred to remote work. If the requirement on informing the Government is ignored, the violators will face an administrative penalty - a fine or suspension of activity. The rule will come in force on October 12.
The new restrictions also affected the travel in public transport of privileged categories of citizens. For schoolchildren, from October 9 until the end of the holidays, the possibility of travel privilege will be suspended. The residents of Moscow aged over 65, as well as those suffering from chronic diseases, will lose the opportunity to travel freely for the period from October 9 to 28.
The sale of tickets to theaters and museums has not yet been suspended, but for objects under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Government, it will be possible only in electronic form.
