The former vice-president of Otkritie Bank was declared bankrupt
A court in St. Petersburg ruled on the insolvency of Gennady Zhuzhlev, who served as senior vice president of Otkritie FC Bank. The initiator of the procedure was NB Trust, which achieved the start of the sale of the ex-banker's assets.
An attempt to challenge this decision proved fruitless. In August, the appeal (the 13th AAC) dismissed the complaint of the debtor's wife Natalia Gromova. She asked for a review of the ruling issued on May 14. It stated that her husband's insolvency claim had been accepted.
In her statement, she stated that she had not had the opportunity to review the documents on the lawsuit. She insisted that she had not been notified of the enforcement proceedings initiated on the basis of court decisions.
However, the appeal indicated that the marriage between the spouses was not dissolved, they live at the same metropolitan address. Earlier, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation sought to recover 289.5 billion in losses from the bank's ex-managers.
The story of the rehabilitation of a bankrupt credit institution began in 2017. At the end of August, the regulator appointed an interim administration. On November 29, the management authority was transferred to FCBS Management Company. This allowed for corporate changes. According to representatives of the regulator, such measures accelerated the process of recapitalization and brought the bank to meet standard standards.
Otkritie FC was founded at the end of 1992. Over the years, the bank has become one of the largest participants in the Russian financial market.
