Megionnefteprodukt has once again become a candidate for bankruptcy. On June 9, 2023, representatives of the Federal Tax Service No. 10 filed an application for its insolvency with the arbitration of the KhMAO (case No. A75-11295/2023). The sum of the claims amounted to 317,884 210.6 rubles.

Last year, the tax authorities already tried to deal with the bankruptcy of the company (case no. A75-22696/2022). In December, the court received an application from the Federal Tax Service with claims in the amount of 169,876,862.79 rubles. But there was no evidence that the organization has property that allows it to cover court costs. As a result, on January 20, 2023, the application was returned.

According to data for 2021, the company received revenue of 3.8 billion rubles. The company's profit amounted to about 8.5 million rubles. A year later, the firm's revenue dropped to 417.9 million. In 2022, net profit amounted to 8.3 million. The balance of Megionnefteprodukt has recently decreased from 1.9 billion (in 2021) to 1.3 billion (in 2022).

Earlier it was reported that the claims of the tax authorities to the company controlled by Evgeny Ageikin may be related to the investigation that revealed schemes of illegal tax evasion identified by the specialists of the Federal Tax Service. Several companies involved in the sale of diesel fuel under the guise of various petroleum products caused damage to the state for millions of rubles.

Employees of the Federal Tax Service No. 11 in KhMAO-Yugra discovered that the Electron company involved a number of firms in financial turnover, intending to receive VAT deductions by reducing the income tax base. The companies "River Fleet Electronic Warfare" and "Megionnefteprodukt" took part in it, where an inspection was carried out. An attempt by the management of firms to challenge the claims of the Federal Tax Service has not yet brought results.
