THE FEDERAL TAX SERVICE ASKED THE COURT TO DECLARE BANKRUPT THE DESIGNER OF THE MANSION OF THE HEAD OF ROSTEC
The Moscow Arbitration Court (AS GM) received a statement from the Federal Tax Service with a request to declare interior designer Manana Hernandez-Getashvili financially insolvent. The reason for the appeal to the court was the debt owed to the state, the amount of which, according to information from open databases and court documents, is 1.1 million rubles.

Earlier, the interior designer's name was loudly mentioned in the context of criminal proceedings initiated by the wife of the head of Rostec Corporation, Sergey Chemezov. The story that formed the basis of the case dates back to 2014.

The investigation believed that the architect had assumed obligations to design a private house in the elite village of Zhukovka and received about € 9 million for this. Allegedly, the work was not completed. The funds were never returned to the customer. In an effort to avoid responsibility, Hernandez-Getashvili left Russia, and in 2018, by decision of the Moscow City Court, she was arrested in absentia.

Not only government agencies and private individuals have complaints about the architect's work. Inter‑gals company is among the creditors. According to the organization, the company associated with the designer, NG Cinema, received about three million dollars to carry out similar design work. Obligations under this agreement also remained unfulfilled. It is noteworthy that in 2017, this organization ceased to exist and was officially liquidated.

On his official website, Hernandez-Getashvili is positioned as a high-level professional. The biography of the architect indicates that she was educated at the Moscow Architectural Institute. She also trained at the London Academy of Architecture. According to the posted data, her portfolio includes more than a hundred projects implemented in the Russian Federation, the United States and European countries.

The person involved in the case and the object of the tax service's claim does not recognize the charges. Her position boils down to the fact that the materials needed for the work were purchased, and further project implementation was suspended due to circumstances beyond her control. Consideration of the issue of introducing bankruptcy proceedings is now within the competence of the arbitration court.
