Perm Arbitration continues to consider the insolvency case of Pyotr Pyankov, who headed the NPF "Strategy" (case no. A50-1575/2023). The initiator of the insolvency of the ex-head of the fund is the state corporation "DIA".

Pyankov, who is serving a sentence in a penal colony for the second sentence of embezzlement of 1.7 million rubles, considers the bankruptcy process an infringement of his rights, writes RBC. The ex-head of the NPF continues to remain in the colony under the second verdict of the court, handed down in December 2022. An attempt to appeal against it in the appeal (the hearing was held on April 19, 2023) was in vain. The previous verdict was upheld.

In court, the former owner of the NPF asked to be released to his family. At the same time, he pointed out that he has three children and two grandchildren. According to Pyankov, for them he remains "a teacher, educator and magician."

NPF "Strategy" was the largest in the Perm Region. However, on April 20, 2016, the fund was forcibly liquidated. At that moment, he had 4.1 billion on his balance sheet. The amount of debt by January 1 , 2018 exceeded 5.5 billion. The debt register included more than 50 thousand claims in the amount of more than 2.3 billion. On January 30, 2018, the organization was declared insolvent.

Pyankov received his first sentence, 4 years in prison, on December 10, 2018. The investigation found that in the fall of 2015, the entrepreneur made a fictitious transaction on the alienation of securities to two controlled firms. The court found proven the fact of their appropriation of 220.1 million.

In December, the ex-head of the foundation was again sentenced to 2 years. As a result, the first term was counted, and the total term of imprisonment in the colony for the entrepreneur was set at 5 years.

The entrepreneur himself continues to believe that the transfer of assets to the accounts of other firms was forced. Pyankov assumed that the regulator would lift the ban on securities not becoming part of pension reserves. The ban was established in September 2015. The ex-head of the "Strategy" justifies his actions by "the desire to save the fund."

The DIA Group appealed to the court on behalf of the foundation on January 24, 2023. The sum of the claims indicated when applying to the Perm arbitration is 73.44 million. On March 2, the court accepted Pyankov's bankruptcy application for consideration. The court hearing is scheduled for April 27.
