THE EX-LEADERS OF THE "DISCOVERY" WERE ASKED TO ATTRACT TO THE SUBSIDIARY
Maria Bulatova, who performs the functions of the bankruptcy trustee of Otkritie Holding JSC, applied to arbitration with a petition. In it, she asked the court to impose a subsidy on the beneficiaries of the bankrupt financial structure (case no. A40-32328/2020). The list of defendants included the founder of the holding Vadim Belyaev, ex-president of the bank Ruben Aganbegyan, former CEO Pavel Fedoseev and others.
The notice published on Fedresource also includes the firm ABE Consulting. Bulatova appealed to the court with a request to suspend the proceedings on this application until final settlements with creditors are carried out. Given this, the size of the subsidy remains unknown.
Experts believe that if the court satisfies the petition of the Bankruptcy Trustee, the amount of liability can be measured by a very large amount corresponding to the size of the debts of the bankrupt holding. As of July 19, 2022, it exceeded 920 billion rubles, where 911.2 billion was the main debt, and another 8.8 billion were fines and penalties.
Recall that JSC "Otkritie Holding" was officially declared bankrupt on July 20 last year. The process was initiated by the company in March 2020, however, the Trust bank claimed to be the first applicant in the case for some time. In November 2021, surveillance was introduced in Otkritie, and in July 2022 Bulatova became KU.
