THE EX-HEAD OF THE BANKRUPT "WHITE GARDEN" WILL ANSWER FOR THE COMPANY

The Belgorod Arbitration Court supported the petition of Yevgeny Yekhlakov, appointed manager of the White Garden Company. According to the verdict of the court, the former head of the firm, Sergei Stepanenko, must incur subsidiary liability in the amount of € 692.9 thousand. As of May 16, 2022 (the day of filing an application to arbitration) this amount corresponded to 45.58 million rubles.

The company was established in 2015. It was assumed that the organization would expand apple and cherry orchards. In 2017, the company cheerfully reported the planting of garden crops on a space of 100 hectares in the Prokhorovsky district of the region. The firm expected to expand the area of garden plantings to 500 hectares, investing about 2.5 billion rubles in the project.

The farm announced the construction of a special fruit storage facility in order to subsequently process the apple harvest. In the future, this would allow us to get harvests of up to 24 thousand tons of products per year. Regional officials expressed delight in the press, hoping for opportunities to replace fruit imports.

An important factor in the development of agriculture was the application for the use of modern drip irrigation technologies. The firm was supposed to provide jobs for about 200 employees.

It is known that at the first stage the company actively cooperated with Promsvyazbank. More than 150 million rubles were invested in the development, and the yield for the year was 4 thousand tons of apples. Soon the financial condition of the company turned out to be unstable. The company went into bankruptcy. In 2020, the "White Garden" was declared insolvent.

The company has accumulated debts of 890 million rubles. The organization owed almost half a billion to the Trust bank, which also had property for 39.25 million in collateral. Another 333.5 million rubles of mortgaged property was registered with the bank "Vozrozhdenie".

Sergey Stepanenko was the CEO of the "White Garden" in the period from November 2018 to January 2020. Now he can be charged 45.58 million rubles as subsidiary liability.

It is curious that the property of the organization still cannot be realized. An attempt to sell the assets of the enterprise for 506.58 million rubles turned out to be untenable. No one was interested in such a price. After the minimum price was set in the amount of 405 million, there were no people willing to buy the farm again. The property itself is currently leased by the Baltfresh company, registered in the Leningrad region. The company sells fruits and vegetables. There are no plans to terminate the lease agreement with her yet.
