THE COURT TERMINATED THE BANKRUPTCY OF THE STATE-OWNED BASHZOOVETNABA
The Bashkiria Arbitration Court has put an end to the proceedings on the financial insolvency of Bashzoovetnab JSC. The proceedings were terminated after the company's obligations were settled and the parties submitted a settlement agreement. The court refused to introduce surveillance, considering that the dispute had been settled.

Interestingly, the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings coincided with attempts to privatize a state-owned company. The republic has been trying to sell the company for several years. Since 2022, the Ministry of Land and Property has been putting up for auction 100% of the company's shares, but all attempts to find a buyer remain unsuccessful. The next auction, at which assets were planned to be sold for 69 million rubles, was declared invalid.

The bankruptcy process itself arose due to debts for the supply of veterinary drugs. Last summer, the Kazan company FarmBioVet applied to arbitration, pointing to an unfulfilled obligation. According to the deal signed 5 years ago, the amount of claims amounted to 7.6 million rubles. Later, in September, the Ufa Agroline Trading House joined the application. He made a claim of 6.8 million.

The situation changed in November. Last month, UAZ JSC joined the process. Initially, this organization took over the legal succession of the Ufa trading house, and then settled its debts with the company from Kazan. In fact, UAZ JSC bought out both obligations, after which the participants in the case appealed to the court with an initiative, asking for approval of the settlement agreement.

The agreed act outlined a timetable for repayment of the remaining part of the debt. The debtor has committed to pay off UAZ in installments by November 2027. The court reviewed the proposed terms and found them to comply with the requirements of the law. As a result, the case was closed, and the company was spared the threat of liquidation.

It should be recalled that Bashzoovetnab has been operating since 2008, having changed its status from a state unitary enterprise to a joint-stock company. The company belongs to the republic through the Ministry of Land and Property. Financial indicators remain modest: in 2024, revenue amounted to about 30 million, while the company ended the year with a loss of about 4.7 million.
