THE COURT REJECTED THE DEFENSE MINISTRY'S CLAIM FOR 4.2 BILLION TO THE NORTHERN SHIPYARD
The Moscow Arbitration Court rejected the Defense Ministry's claim against the shipyard from St. Petersburg "Severnaya Verf". The agency demanded 4.2 billion rubles from the company (case no. A40-76341/2023).

The requirements for the "Northern Shipyard" at the Ministry of Defense arose because of the state contract for the construction of three frigates. It was planned that they would be ready by October 25, 2022. However, the shipbuilder was 34 days late with the stand of the ship, the price of which was 28.3 billion rubles.

The defendant stated in court that he was not to blame for such a delay. According to the company, the agency did not name the exact price and did not pay the full amount of the advance under the contract (only 85.37% of the required 90%).

The Arbitration Court of Moscow found the arguments of Severnaya Verf justified and rejected the Defense Ministry's claim.
