THE COURT INTRODUCED BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS IN A LARGE URAL ROAD COMPANY
The Sverdlovsk Arbitration Court (AS SO) has decided to take the Uraldortechnology road company (UDT) under surveillance. Recently, she has been unable to meet her obligations to repair roads in Yekaterinburg.

The decision is related to the claim of Uralthermoplast-Stroy, which claimed a debt of 6.8 million rubles for the performance of work under government contracts. The monitoring procedure will last five months, until November 2025.

The court considered several applications, including from other creditors such as Ak Bars Bank and KENPO-Trade, which also filed claims against the company. UDT has repeatedly asked not to bankrupt it. The company claimed that it intended to pay off debts, but the situation continued to deteriorate. The debt to Uralthermoplast-Stroy was reduced to 2 million by February 2025. But other creditors, including the bank and contractors, have not received a full settlement.

Against the background of growing debts, the company also faced a lawsuit from the bank, which seeks to seize assets pledged upon receipt of the loan. If the court upholds AK Bars Bank's claims, other creditors will most likely be left without compensation, as the company's property will be transferred to repay the debt.

In addition to financial problems, UDT found itself at the center of a criminal case. The heads of the company, Roman Zhdanov and Svetlana Tambovtseva, are accused of fraud for a large sum. According to the investigation, they are to blame for the damage suffered by the regional "Directorate of Highways" (GKU). Its amount is estimated at 48 million.

The UDT company appeared more than 20 years ago. For many years, it has been one of the leading contracting organizations in the Ural capital. However, the company has been the subject of criticism in recent years. For example, in the summer of 2023, the company did not meet the deadlines for repairing roads in the central streets of the city.

A significant part of the problems with the company began nine years ago, when the head of UDT accused the then head of the regional Ministry of Transport of a crime in connection with UDT's activities. Despite the fact that the criminal case initiated on these charges was terminated, the situation with the company continued to deteriorate.

Since 2019, UDT has been actively participating in public tenders in Yekaterinburg. The company has received a significant share of funding for national projects. In the same year, the company completed repairs to Shefskaya Street, and also participated in other major road construction and repair projects in the region.
