THE COURT DECLARED THE CONVICTED EX-DEPUTY DEFENSE MINISTER IVANOV BANKRUPT
The Metropolitan Court (AS GM) has adopted an act on the insolvency of the convicted Timur Ivanov, who previously served as Deputy Minister of Defense. The basis was the claim of Promsvyazbank (PSB). An accelerated procedure was applied in the case, in which the procedure for restructuring obligations is not carried out, but the sale of property assets is immediately assigned. This approach is regulated by the legislation for persons with an outstanding criminal record in the economic sphere.

Igor Minaev, representing the interests of the Moscow SRO Professional Association, was approved for the role of financial manager. The amount of the creditor's claims included in the register amounted to 228 million rubles. At the same time, the main debt under the loan agreement reaches 175 million.

Ivanov filed a petition to the court while in the detention center. In the document, he agreed with the financial claims presented, agreeing to immediately move to the stage of property sale. Representatives of the bank informed the court of information from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. According to her, the apartment mortgaged from the bank is still owned by Ivanov.

In the summer, the Moscow City Court sentenced the ex-official to 13.5 years in prison and fined him 100 million rubles. The criminal case was considered in a closed format.

The investigation found that 10 years ago, Ivanov, who was then the head of Oboronstroy, involved several top managers in illegal activities at once (the head of Oboronlogistics, the chairman of the board of Interkommerce Bank), as well as others. According to the investigation, an organized group stole money intended for the purchase of several ferries in order to operate them in circumvention of international restrictions. The financial damage from these actions exceeded 216 million rubles.

In addition, the defendants committed the theft of ˆ44.9 million by conducting fictitious currency transactions. In ruble terms, at the 2015 exchange rate, this amount amounted to approximately 3.92 billion rubles. After the bankruptcy of Intercommerce Bank, the rights of claim were transferred to the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA).

The court recognized the state corporation as the injured party. Ivanov and his associates were ordered to compensate 3.9 billion. Themis also supported the statement of the "General Directorate of Military Equipment", which demanded payment of 216.5 million rubles.

The bribery case involving the former deputy minister continues. Other defendants in the case include Alexander Fomin (the head of Olimpcitystroy) and Sergei Borodin, who is cooperating with the investigation.
