The court accepted the bankruptcy claim of Kazakhstan's Jusan Bank
Against the background of the ongoing insolvency case of the discontinued company Region-Stroy. During the proceedings, the bankruptcy trustee is trying to return assets to creditors, and a new lawsuit has been filed against Kazakhstan's Jusan Bank. According to the court file, the Moscow Arbitration Court (AS GM) has begun its consideration.

The case includes claims in the amount of 4.4 billion. The plaintiff is a legal entity that is already in the stage of bankruptcy proceedings. The owner of the company, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, is Andrey Kuzmin. In open sources, you can find information about an individual entrepreneur with the same name and INN. According to them, he is registered in the Smolensk region. In the past, the entrepreneur executed government contracts, including from the Federal Penitentiary Service.

The defendant in the lawsuit is First Heartland Zhusan Bank JSC. It is noteworthy that the INN presented in the documents does not appear in Russian registers. However, this identifier corresponds to the Moscow representative office of Tsesnabank from Kazakhstan. Six years ago, it was incorporated into the Jusan Bank. Yuri Yablonsky was listed as the head of his office in Moscow.

The first court hearing is scheduled for August 6. But this is not the first trial between the parties. At the end of 2023, the Kazakh bank had already tried to recover 2.9 billion from Regionstroy, but was refused in court. The reason was the status of the transaction on the basis of which the debt arose. The arbitration recognized it as fiction.

In public interviews, representatives of the Kazakh bank characterized Region-Stroy as a client who had left behind a problematic legacy since the days of Tsesnabank. According to the bank, the funds from the 2014 loan were transferred to offshore accounts. On the part of Region-Stroy, the new filing of the claim is regarded as a way to prevent further collection.

The controlling stake of Jusan Bank (almost 80%) is currently owned by the organization that manages Galimzhan Yesenov's company. The rest of the shares are issued directly to him. In April, it became known that the co-owner Kaspi.kz Vyacheslav Kim submitted an application to the Kazakhstan Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARFR), wishing to acquire almost 97% of the shares of the financial structure.

In addition, the bank announced a name change, now it will be called Alatau City Bank. The new name reflects the organization's intention to participate in the development of the city of the same name, which arose near Alma Ata at the beginning of last year. According to Kim, he plans to invest about $1 billion in the infrastructure of Alatau.
