The introduction of new restrictive measures was announced in the northern capital due to the active spread of the coronavirus. Now the process of visiting skating rinks and cinemas will be complicated, and the work of catering establishments located in shopping centers will be suspended as well.

The Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov has already signed a corresponding decree - residents of the city will not be able to attend sports events from November 23. As for the ice rinks, according to the new rules, it is possible to attend them provided that there is no more than one person per 10 square meters.

If the skating rink is located indoor, then no more than 30 visitors are allowed at once.

Open skating rinks are now required to close changing rooms. At the same time, it was noted that all these restrictions do not apply to professional sports clubs. If we talk about skating rinks located in shopping centers, their work completely suspended from November 23.

From December 1, additional restrictions on visiting cinemas, concerts and theaters are introduced in St. Petersburg - now the occupancy rate of halls cannot exceed 25% (instead of the current 50%). However, an exception will be made for those who sold a large number of tickets before November 18.

The work of cafes and restaurants in shopping centers has been suspended since November 23.

Food courts in St. Petersburg were closed at the beginning of the month, leaving them only at gas stations, train stations and at the airport.

Until January 15, the city has a mandatory self-isolation regime for people over 65 years old - they can only leave the house to take out the garbage, visit the nearest shops, apply for medical care or exercise.

As of November 23, St. Petersburg ranks second in Russia in terms of the incidence of coronavirus, 2,926 new patients have been identified. Moscow remains the leader with 6866 new cases. In total, another anti-record of morbidity has been broken in Russia - 25,173 cases per day.
