THE AMOUNT OF MATERNITY CAPITAL IN RUSSIA WILL BE INCREASED

According to the plan for developing the budget of the Pension Fund, the families will be able to receive more benefits within the framework of maternity capital.  The amount of the capital will be increased due to the growth in inflation, which may reach 3.7% next year. 

It is necessary to note that in 2021, the maternity capital will be increased at the birth of the first and the second child both. 

We should recall that the law extending the maternity capital program was signed in March this year.  At the birth or adoption of the first child, a maternity capital is provided; in case of having the second child,the amount of the capital is increased.  The norm will be applied to the families, whose children were born since the beginning of this year.

Last week, another initiative regarding benefits  for children was announced.This time it was about the orphans. It was proposed to pay them an analogue of maternity capital.  The author of the idea was the business ombudsman Boris Titov, who made a proposal to pay the inmates of orphanages a fixed amount that can be used to pay rent or the first installment on a mortgage loan
