THE ADVERTISING OF BANKRUPTCY SERVICES DID NOT LIKE THE UFAS
Illegal advertising of bankruptcy services for individuals was identified by the employees of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the city of Blagoveshchensk. The department decided that the information in the advertisement inclines citizens to erroneous judgments about the trouble-free conduct of procedures related to insolvency.

The advertisement was distributed by a commercial organization from the Moscow region. As reported on the website of the Amur Federal Antimonopoly Service, in the texts of several ads it was proposed to "guarantee" write off debt obligations or in the form of a question, individuals were offered to make a choice between paying or writing off debts. Thus, the consumer could have the idea that it is not necessary to bear the burden of financial obligations at all.

A special commission of the Amur Federal Antimonopoly Service decided that the information provided could mislead citizens. At the same time, not a word was said in the advertisement about the negative consequences that arise during the bankruptcy procedure.

This, according to the representatives of the antimonopoly department, violates part 7 of Article 5 of the relevant law. According to the norm of the Federal Law "On Advertising", in the Russian Federation it is impossible to disseminate information about services in which part of the information is missing, and the general meaning of what is said is distorted.

A law firm from the Moscow region, responsible for the dissemination of such information, will need to eliminate the identified deviations from the law. The organization has already received the corresponding order. The case materials themselves will become the basis for initiating administrative proceedings after their transfer to an official of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
