The Kinoprime Foundation, which has been financing several cinematic projects, is in litigation with the Non-Stop Production film company. Both organizations were previously engaged in co-financing the film "Chernobyl", shot by Danila Kozlovsky. In total, about 689 million rubles were spent on filming the film. However, the film did not pay off at the box office, 376 million were collected.

Now the director of the film company is officially Alexander Chukanov. Experts believe that this may be just a nominal business owner. There is no information regarding his creative past in the film industry.

According to information from open sources, the fund allocated about 300 million rubles irrevocably for the filming of the film "Chernobyl". However, about 100 million more had to be returned.

The lawsuit between the foundation established by Roman Abramovich and the film company is far from the first. Previously, organizations have already conducted legal disputes over $25 million.

Kinoprime had previously financed not only Chernobyl. Last year, the foundation's expert council supported 11 film projects. The total amount of money spent on filming amounted to 240 million rubles. Anton Malyshev, Executive Director of the Foundation, said that since 2019, the organization has participated in financing 66 cinematographic projects, distributing about 3 billion rubles.
