STAVROPOL AUTO ASSETS SOLD FOR 2.2 BILLION AFTER 6 UNSUCCESSFUL AUCTIONS
The property of the former automobile plant in Mikhailovsk, previously owned by the bankrupt company Stavropol Auto, has finally found a buyer. The auction, held after a series of inconclusive auctions, ended with the sale of assets. The transaction amount amounted to 2.2 billion rubles. The winner was a participant who acted in the interests of the capital's Centrostroyinvest company.

The initial price of the lot was 2.5 billion rubles. Two bidders participated in the bidding: the Favorit company from Krasnodar and businessman Vladimir Arustamov. The entrepreneur offered a price exceeding the competitor's bid by 600 million rubles. This ensured his victory in the auction.

The complex included workshops, warehouses, a large car park, land plots (over 207 hectares), industrial equipment (80 units) and 24 vehicles. Representatives of the auction winner confirmed that his participation was carried out on behalf of the metropolitan company. The organization specializes in real estate management and is part of a holding company headed by Technodinamika (JSC).

The project to build a plant in Mikhailovsk started in 2013. The company was built at the expense of investments worth over 12 billion rubles. It all started in 2017 with the release of Great Wall cars. During the year of operation, 2.5 thousand cars were assembled. But the project turned out to be unprofitable. In 2019, the credit institution filed a lawsuit to declare the company insolvent due to a debt of 6.8 billion rubles. Five years ago, the company was officially declared bankrupt.

Attempts to sell assets have continued since 2022. At the start, the assets were estimated at 5.5 billion. Then the price rose to 11.2 billion, but after several failures it consistently decreased. At the beginning of this year, the initial cost was set at around 2.5 billion. It was at this stage that the bidding took place.

The governor of Stavropol noted in his telegram channel that the region expects to create an industrial park on the site occupied by the automobile plant. He stressed that "another residential complex is not needed here," and the authorities will promote the development of high-tech production.

According to experts, participation in auctions through an individual entrepreneur is a common practice in such cases. This may be due to technical limitations or the investor's desire to remain anonymous until the transaction is completed. The main contract will most likely be executed already at Centrostroyinvest.

The sold assets currently remain pledged to the PSB. It was this organization that joined the Ministry of Finance two years ago. The manager (KU) of Stavropol Auto must transfer the proceeds to the bank. The new owner will then have the right to dispose of the assets at his discretion.
