ST. PETERSBURG ICE ARENA DESIGN COMPANY RECEIVES BANKRUPTCY LAWSUIT
On September 26, the arbitration of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region received a statement of claim against Rusenergomontazh (REM). Tax arrears led to the insolvency claim of the project organization from St. Petersburg. The initiator of the lawsuit is the Federal Tax Service No. 7. The financial claim against the company is estimated at 29.8 million rubles.

The constituent structure of the society is as follows: 80% of the shares belong to Irina Ladygina, who is also the sole head. The remaining 20% belongs to the Istok-Premium company, half of which is also owned by Ladygina.

The company's portfolio of completed projects is very extensive. REM's specialization included the creation of ice complexes throughout the country and beyond. Among the key facilities are sports arenas in the cities of Siberia, Sochi and Izhevsk.

The company carried out a full cycle of work: from design and installation to the supply of special equipment, for example, ice harvesters for shopping malls "Mercury" and "Continent" in St. Petersburg. In total, over 300 objects were sold.

The financial situation of the company has been difficult in recent years. Even before filing the lawsuit, the tax authority completely blocked the organization's current accounts in a number of major banks, including Sberbank, VTB, GPB and Raiffeisenbank. The decision to block, taken on September 12, was due to the presence of a tax debt. The balance on the unified tax account went into negative territory in excess of 30 million rubles.

An analysis of last year's financial statements shows a significant decrease in revenue. It decreased by 60.3%, amounting to 401 million rubles. At the same time, the company's capitalization grew to 935 million. The company turned out to be unprofitable by 3.8 million, although a profit was recorded in 2023.
