SOBYANIN: MOSCOW RESTAURANTS WILL OPEN DOORS ONLY FOR VACCINATED VISITORS
The Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin announced new restrictions - from June 28, only those who have reliable protection from the disease will be able to visit catering establishments of the city
These will include vaccinated citizens, as well as those who have been infected with COVID-19in the last six months or have a negative PCR test no older than three days. The test can be done in laboratories that automatically transmit information to UMIAS.
QR codes will be issued to the respective protected groups.
The code can be obtained through the State Services and Mos.ru portals, electronic medical record, EMIAS.INFO or at the clinic's reception. It was noted that paper references and certificates will not be valid.
Restaurants, in turn, are required to create a system for checking the QR codes. Sobyanin noted that Moscow food courts would be open only after their control systems pass the necessary checks.
If the establishments will not be able to provide the conditions for checking QR codes, then they will only work for take-away and delivery.
Sobyanin emphasized that a special group has already been created in Moscow, which will be analyzing all the cases of illness - so that data on those who have been ill could be published on the website. He also added that cafes in Europe and Asia have long been operating according to this principle - Moscow needs to follow this system in order to avoid a new lockdown.
In addition, from June 22, a ban on holding events and concerts with the participation of more than 500 people will be introduced in the capital. The restriction also applies to outdoor events. However, the mayor added that the restrictions would be lifted if the organizers are able to create zones that would only allow visitors with the QR codes to enter.
Theaters, cinemas and events with less than 500 participants have not been banned yet. But Sobyanin noted that they were also recommended to think about the QR code system.
