SKOROKHOD FACTORY TO PAY OFF CREDITORS WITH CHILDREN'S SHOES
At the end of May 2023, it is planned to put up for auction more than 5 thousand pairs of children's shoes produced by FDO Skorokhod. 5137 pairs of shoes (sandals, shoes, czechs, shoes) are put up for auction. The initial cost is 4.9 million. The shoes were the subject of a pledge in the factory's contract with Sberbank.

During the bankruptcy procedure, it is planned to sell other assets of FDO Skorokhod. The final list of the property that will be put up for auction has not yet been made public. According to the data for 2020, there was property on the balance sheet of the factory, estimated at 225 million rubles, writes RBC.

The legendary factory from St. Petersburg received the status of bankrupt in September 2022. The basis was the claim of the company "Tapibu", which custom-made 3.5 thousand pairs of shoes for children's shoes. The contract cost was 763 thousand, but the customer paid only 13% of the amount.

Another initiator of insolvency tried to become the firm "Petropavlovsk", which also did not receive money for cardboard packaging for shoes. As a result, the factory went into bankruptcy, and its obligations to numerous carriers, banks and the Federal Tax Service were included in the register of creditors.

As Rusbankrot noted, the recognition of insolvency coincided with the crisis. The market of clothes and shoes for children in Russia is experiencing it. The consequences of the pandemic and the drop in sales caused by the competition of Skorokhod with other market participants were also called factors of bankruptcy.

Many major players ordering shoe tailoring under their own brands in China found themselves in a more advantageous position. According to experts, the footwear market in Russia grew by 7.6% in 2022. At the same time, up to 80% of products are imported from China and Belarus.

The legal entity FDO "Skorokhod" has been operating on the market since 1998. The production was created on the basis of the oldest shoe factory in St. Petersburg. It originated in 1882. The name "Skorokhod" received official status only in 1910, when the name of the half-boots model was transferred to the exhibition. At the best of times, the company released up to 1.5 million pairs of shoes to the market annually.
