At one of the meetings, Mikhail Mishustin announced a decision to support small and medium-sized businesses and self-employed citizens with a preferential rate on loans. The rate will be 7% per annum.

The corresponding decree, which meets both the requirements of supporting entrepreneurship and the achievement of national development goals, has already been adopted.

Initially, the preferential rate was 8.5%, but according to the new rules, it cannot exceed the key rate of the Bank of Russia, which is currently 7% per annum.

According to Mishustin, such a measure will help entrepreneurship to reduce the debt burden and replenish working capital, as well as to develop business and new projects. The prime minister noted a number of industries that may need such support. Among them, in particular, there are domestic tourism, education and health.

It should be noted that over the past year, more than 17,000 loan agreements for a total amount of more than 1 trillion rubles were concluded within the framework of the concessional lending program for SMEs.
